Happy monday,
It’s two more weeks before 2024, what are your goals for next year? would love to know what are you planning to achieve next year…
For me the main goals are:
- My main CMO company to $4.5M
- My new consulting company to $1M (did 120k this year)
- Say No to opportunities that don’t aligned to the above
I have been finding that saying no to opportunities that seems to be great are more liberating than saying yes nowadays…
I value time & my freedom more than the “potential” of the opportunity that the person tries to sell me on
Having blinder type focus on my goals will reward me far better than jumping around to different opportunity…
I wanted to talk about systemization and offerings today
I recently went to a weird cafe around my area as I wanted to get a few dumplings for my girlfriend
Walking into the cafe I noticed that they served western food, chinese food, hotpot, artisinal coffee, desserts and more
There were around 4-5 different type of cuisines available in this cafe.
It gave me a weird feeling, I knew that something was wrong but I couldn’t pin point it as I was rushing for time
And I was right…
It took 30 mins to get my dumplings and the chef at the back was delivering hot pot, chinese food and burgers out front like a frantic mad man
This reminded me of how important it is to be focus in your offerings in business…
Its insanely hard to create systems and SOPs for such businesses as its so confusing for an average person to fulfill
Rather only the owner or a talented chef can keep up…
Also the side effect of this is that you don’t get to be known for anything…
When people refer you , they have close to zero idea on how to address your business or what you do as it also confuses them.
I have seen this happening fairly often in many businesses, old or new
So attach blinders and focus on creating dominance in one area in your niche/industry
That will serve your business so much better and help you achieve higher results
