One of my clients asked me “Why is it that I send so many emails but no one seems to be biting on my $100 workshop offer”
He assumed that just because he had been writing emails 3-4x a week, people would like what he wrote and buy from him…
So I took a look at his emails and realised there’s one portion that he did entirely wrongly and what most coaches and consultants do wrong as well..
He provided too much “VALUE”
It’s funny right, the more value you think you provide the less people actually buy…
After writing for myself and other coaches for the past 5 years, I realised that people buy when you show them the way not when you tell them what to do to get the results.
People hate being told what to do but love to do it when they think they decide to do it for themselves
The goal of content is to lead them to believe in the action and take the action.
Which most of the time is to buy from you…
Lead them with stories, analogies, and personal experiences…
Make it engaging, exciting, and insightful for the reader
That’s the real objective of writing content and how true value is delivered
Value in definition for me is creating the insight for my audience to take action
The better you are at doing that, the more $$$ you will make.
I urge all of you reading to relook at your content, are you telling your audience what to do to get there?
If they know “what to do” do you think they will buy?
Or are you giving them insights?
That’s all for today
