Been on a dry spell thinking about what content to create sometimes for myself/my business
I’m sure this is something common among business owners / marketers / coaches
When you get too in the weeds of doing “work” that you neglect the daily habits of creating content to either attract or convert your audience
It wasn’t until a close friend of mine said to create from your experiences in LIFE instead of just purely from an authority standpoint
That made me remember that alot of my clients buy into me when I posted random stuff like going to the gym, talking about having dinner with my GF, the woes of thinking about whether to buy a car now (especially when the COE prices are so high in Singapore)
All these actually got more conversations started compared to me just trying to create more teaching-style content
So today’s email is very much about how we get stuck in our own head thinking about creating the perfect pieces of content when the best content are the ones that relate to people
We are essentially selling people to people, no matter what industry you are in
So create reliability, and authenticity in your content
sprinkle a bit of authority and insights
create trust via consumption
and watch leads come to you to buy from you.
Here are some tips to prompt our some content from your day to day
- Any client questions or good/bad experiences with clients
- Pet peeves/ rants
- habits you do daily (can make it fun for yourself to post)
- Family
- Lifestyle (cars, buying property, watches, your hobbies)
You can use them to prompt into an insights or just to share your experience on why you buy/do them
