I’m going to be a little more direct today…
The biggest reason why most folks don’t create or publish content is…
They Don’t See Results.
This discourages them from posting.
And they return to doing lower-value activities like getting on calls and meetings or managing routine work…
This is cool if you don’t want to scale…
But if you want to take your business to the 7-figures…
Then, you are not taking action on content creation, which is killing that dream.
Alex Hormozi, one of the gurus I learned from, shared:
Be Inpatient with Your Input &
Be Patient with Your Output
This means you have to look at content marketing with the right expectations.
Think of your content marketing efforts as similar to planting a durian tree…
A durian tree takes about 7-10 years to plant before harvesting.
While you don’t have to wait that long with content creation, it doesn’t mean that you will immediately get clients after you publish.
You have to look at content marketing from a larger time frame.
One of my clients, Marc, has been posting videos consistently for the last 3-4 years.
| |
He only started to see the fruits of his labor in the last 1-2 years.
Here is a screenshot of his YouTube analytics taken:
| |
He got over 123K views over the last 5 years.
While these numbers may be small compared to MrBeast or Logan Paul, remember that Marc is a coach not an influencer…
Moreover, he didn’t have to pay a single cent for this traffic.
These videos published online helped him massively to build authority and credibility.
Marc started to see people trust him a lot more because of his content.
He started to go from being a Personal development biz-op guy to becoming more of a legitimate personal brand.
So if you’re feeling resistance to posting or publishing content…
Don’t beat yourself up for not taking action.
Let Marc’s story inspire you so you start taking a bit of action every single day.
Remember, if you’re starting off…
It’s more important to be consistent than to achieve perfection.
Whether it is posting thrice a week on Facebook/IG…
Or publishing one video every 2 weeks on Youtube…
You have to keep taking action and not quit. (This alone is hard for 99% of people).
Hope this addresses your biggest objection to content creation.
Cheers to more profit.
